About the Work:

The Ideoplastic Materializations of Eva C., created and directed by Zoe Beloff, is a four-channel stereoscopic surround-sound installation reenacting ten séances conducted with the French medium Eva C. in the early twentieth century.

Through life-size three-dimensional figures, the work explores spiritualism, unconscious desire, gender, and the boundary between illusion and reality. Tea Alagić stars as Eva C., physically recreating the medium’s performances and reported materializations.
