About the Work:

A documentary play in five acts by Ben Heinemann

Set during the French Revolution, Terror Is the Order of the Day follows a society’s descent from liberty and hope into suspicion, violence, and fear.

Drawing on historical testimony and political speeches, the play explores how revolutionary ideals became instruments of oppression—and asks when justice becomes revenge.

A tragedy of revolution, power, and society.
