About the Work:

Antigone defies King Creon’s order and chooses to honor her dead brother, placing her conscience and family duty above the law of the state. Her act of resistance sets in motion a tragedy about power, justice, loyalty, and the consequences of absolute authority.

Tea Alagić’s production explores Sophocles’ tragedy through a visceral and physically charged theatrical language, bringing the ancient conflict between the individual and the state into a contemporary space.
