About the Work:
Piano Slam is a poetry-and-music competition for teenagers, bringing together spoken word, music, performance, and education. The program gives young people a platform to develop confidence, creativity, and connection to their community, culminating in live performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.
Tea Alagić directed the 10th edition of the program, working with young performers to bring their original poetry and musical performances to the stage.
