About the Work:
William Shakespeare’s Hamlet is one of the most widely performed works of world drama—a timeless story of revenge, doubt, love, betrayal, and the search for truth.
Directed by Tea Alagić, this production brought Shakespeare’s classic into a contemporary theatrical language through a strong directorial vision. Staged at the Croatian National Theatre in Mostar, it marked the first production of a Shakespeare play at the theatre.
Jelena Kordić Kuret played the title role of Hamlet, bringing her own distinctive interpretation to one of the most demanding characters in the dramatic canon.
The production places Shakespeare’s tragedy in a contemporary theatrical context, exploring how Hamlet’s doubts, fears, and inner conflicts continue to resonate with the modern experience.
