About the Work:
4000 Miles, by Amy Herzog, follows 21-year-old Leo, who arrives unexpectedly at the New York apartment of his 91-year-old grandmother, Vera, after a devastating loss.

As the two navigate grief, loneliness, and their generational differences, an unlikely bond begins to grow. The play explores family, memory, loss, and the possibility of finding a way forward.

With “4000 Miles,” Alagić shows off a more grounded style, where everything seems real, from the hesitations to the sweetest of moments between Lois Markle as 91-year-old Vera and Benjamin Williamson as Leo.
